Maggie Brown is stepping into the role of the Director of Compassion and Caring for Colleagues at the Lehigh Valley Health Network. It is with great love and gratitude that Maggie “closes the doors” of Inner Light Recovery. Serving clients since 2008, Inner Light Recovery has provided the venue through which Maggie learned deep listening, embodied compassion, and empowerment of fellow human beings. Maggie thanks all of her clients for the opportunity to serve them and the bidirectional caring.

One person’s quest for managing stress supports the health and healing of the entire family system and community, as well as, the global well-being of all life and the planet. Individuals are fully capable of finding their sense of purpose and fulfillment through accessing their own Inner Light.

About Maggie Brown

Inner Light Recovery is an Integrative Healing Practice established in 2008 by Maggie Brown in response to the growing request from individuals and communities to address health and wellness from an integrative perspective. Maggie’s 33 years of nursing experience and continued education in integrative modalities supports her in providing theory based, client centered care. Maggie Brown is a nationally Board Certified Advanced Holistic Nurse, a nationally Board Certified Health and Wellness Nurse Coach, a Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide and a Reiki Master. In 2018, Maggie established “Forest Therapy For Me” as an additional service to reach the larger community offering traditional group Forest Therapy Walks also known as Shinrin-Yoku or Forest Bathing. Course Instructors: Maggie will co-teach with Marie-Andrée Couture. They have completed the formal teacher training through the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. As they join together to share with you this 8 Week CMSC Curriculum, they will also receive CMSC Faculty Support.

Marie-Anree Couture

Marie-Andrée Couture (she/her), originally from Québec, currently lives in Toronto, Canada. She first trained as a CPA, CA and had a career as a finance executive. She went back to University of Toronto in neuroscience and psychology. She took a special interest in Buddhist psychology, meditation, and self-compassion. She is a lifelong learner and explorer of what it means to be human. She is married and mother of one daughter.

Educational Investment:

Class Registration by July 1st EARLY BIRD $400 US$ (500 Canadian$). After July first $495 US$ (620 Canadian$). Three Scholarship Spaces Available. $50 (60 Canadian$) non-refundable deposit to hold spot. Full payment September 1st. Registration Process is 4 steps:

1) Reach out via the Contact Us below with your name, email, phone and your desire to enroll in the class. We will let you know that we have received your message and that there is a spot for you in the class.
2) Make a $50 non-refundable deposit to hold your spot (it can be applied to future classes in case of emergency withdrawal) and complete and submit the class application. Mark your calendars.
3) Marie-Andrée or Maggie will reach out to you and set up a meet and greet call.
4) Make your final payment before September 1st.
